What changes
- Structure survives; precise visual styling does not. Custom CSS, exact fonts, and hand-tuned spacing are re-expressed in the target format's own conventions.
- If the document uses a font the server does not have, a substitution is picked before rendering — a close match, not the original. Line breaks and page counts can shift as a result, which is why it is worth opening an important file before sending it on.
