Three ways to export the pages
Pages are rasterised with PyMuPDF. You can take the first page alone for a thumbnail or cover image, export every page and download the set as a single ZIP, or stitch the pages into one long image for scrolling previews.
Choosing the format matters more than people expect. PNG is lossless and keeps text and line art sharp, which suits documents. JPG is much smaller and suits pages that are mostly photographic. If you want the artwork to stay scalable rather than becoming pixels, convert to SVG or EPS instead — those keep vector paths as vectors.
| You want | Use |
|---|---|
| A crisp image of a text page | PNG |
| A small file for sharing or the web | JPG |
| Artwork that stays sharp at any size | SVG or EPS (first page) |
| Every page as separate files | All pages, downloaded as a ZIP |
What you give up
The output is a picture. Text inside it is no longer selectable, searchable or copyable, and no amount of zooming brings that back — the characters have become pixels.
That is the right trade when you need a page somewhere images are accepted and PDFs are not: a forum post, a slide, a chat message, a CMS that rejects documents. It is the wrong trade if anyone downstream needs the words, in which case convert to Word or plain text instead.
