One target format, many files

Drop several files at once and each is converted independently to the same target, then the results come back as a single ZIP. Files are processed separately, so one failure does not stop the rest — you get the successful outputs and a clear message about what did not work.

Because every file goes to the same target, mixed batches need a target all of them can reach. A folder of JPGs and PNGs converts to WebP without trouble; a folder mixing images and spreadsheets does not have a single sensible destination.

Where batches save the most time

  • Preparing a folder of photographs for the web in one pass.
  • Standardising a mixed archive on one format before storing it.
  • Converting a set of documents to PDF for distribution.
  • Extracting audio from a series of recordings.

Practical limits

Large batches take proportionally longer, and video is far slower than images because each file is fully re-encoded rather than repackaged. Start with a small batch to confirm the settings give you the result you want before running the whole folder.

Outputs expire automatically, so download the ZIP when it is ready rather than leaving it for later. If you need different settings for different files, run them as separate batches — the options apply to the whole job.
